How our coverage is produced
Every review here is compiled from published information rather than from playing the instrument ourselves. That means manufacturer specifications, official product data, retailer listings, and the aggregated feedback owners leave after buying. For a given model we read across a large volume of owner reports and look for patterns that repeat: sharp fret ends on a particular production run, tuners that will not hold pitch, a bundle accessory that buyers quietly replace within a month.
We do not physically play or bench the instruments we write about, and we would rather say so plainly. Our coverage is compiled from published specifications and owner reports rather than hands-on studio testing. The strength of that approach is consistency: the same specification points get compared the same way across every model in a price band, without one reviewer’s brand preference quietly steering the result. The limit is that no amount of reading tells you how a neck feels in your hands. Where you can, play the instrument in a shop before you commit.
What you get from a review
Each review works through the specification in plain language, so the terms on a retailer listing turn into something you can act on: what the body and top woods mean for tone and durability, what the pickup configuration suits, what the scale length does for smaller hands.
From there we set the instrument against the realistic alternatives at the same price. Where a starter bundle is involved, we break down what is genuinely in the box and which of those extras hold up, since a long accessory list is often where a weak guitar hides. Each review closes on who the instrument suits and who should look elsewhere.
