At that point we set a first-party cookie holding a randomly generated visitor identifier. It is set by guitarharbor.com, it is marked secure, and it is long lived rather than expiring at the end of your visit.
Its purpose is attribution. It lets us tell that the same visitor clicked several links rather than counting each click as a new person, which is how we understand which recommendations are useful. The identifier is a random value. It does not contain your name or email address, and it is not tied to an Amazon account. We cannot see what you buy.
Analytics
This site runs its own analytics rather than Google Analytics. It records page views and uses a visitor identifier so that a series of page views can be recognised as a single visit. We use it to see which guides are read and which pages have problems. It is not used to build an advertising profile of you and it is not shared with an ad network.
WooCommerce session cookies
The WooCommerce plugin is installed on this site and can set a session cookie. It is a technical cookie that keeps track of a browsing session. Nothing is sold here, no payment method is enabled and no order has ever been placed, so this cookie is not connected to any purchase, payment or delivery. Product links send you to Amazon to buy.

How to control cookies
