Terms & Conditions

If anything on this page is unclear, or you think we have got something wrong, contact us through our contact page and we will explain or correct it.

These terms cover your use of guitarharbor.com. By reading and using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.

What this site is

GuitarHarbor publishes written reviews and buying guides for guitars, basses and starter bundles. We do not sell instruments, we do not take payments and we do not ship anything. When you decide to buy, you do so on Amazon.

Using our content

You may read, print and share our pages for your own personal, non-commercial use, and you may quote a short extract if you credit GuitarHarbor and link back. You may not republish our articles wholesale, scrape the site in bulk, resell our content, or pass it off as your own. Please do not attempt to break into, overload or interfere with the site or the systems it runs on.

Our reviews are opinion, not professional advice

Everything we publish is general information and our own opinion. It is not professional, financial, technical or safety advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified technician or a shop that can put the instrument in your hands.

Our write-ups are compiled from published manufacturer specifications, retailer listing data and feedback from owners. We do not carry out hands-on testing, and we say so plainly in our Affiliate Disclosure. Whether a particular instrument suits your hands, your style, your budget or your room is a judgement only you can make.

Product information can be wrong or out of date

Prices change, stock runs out, manufacturers revise models without changing the name, and retailer listings contain errors. We cannot promise that any specification, price, availability, image or description on this site is accurate, complete or current, and we do not promise that any product will be suitable for you.

Always check the details on the Amazon listing itself before you buy. The listing is the authoritative source, not our summary of it. If you spot something on our site that is wrong, please tell us so we can fix it.

Your purchase is with Amazon, not with us

Once you follow a link and buy something, the transaction is between you and Amazon or the seller on Amazon’s marketplace. Amazon’s terms, privacy policy, pricing, delivery arrangements, warranty handling, returns and refunds all apply. We are not a party to that sale, we hold no stock and we cannot process a return, chase a delivery, issue a refund or resolve a warranty claim. Those all go to Amazon or the seller.

Links to other sites

This site links to Amazon and sometimes to manufacturers and other third party pages. We do not control those sites and we are not responsible for their content, their accuracy, their availability or how they handle your data. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the other end of it.

Limitation of liability

The site is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss you suffer from relying on what you read here, including buying an instrument that turns out to be wrong for you, acting on a price or specification that had changed, or the site being unavailable.

In plain terms, we will be honest and careful with what we publish, but the buying decision is yours and the seller is Amazon. Nothing here is intended to exclude any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud.

Complaints and corrections

If you have a complaint about something we have published, believe a review is unfair or inaccurate, or want a factual correction, write to us through our contact page or at [email protected]. Tell us the page address and what specifically is wrong. We read complaints ourselves, we reply, and we correct genuine errors rather than arguing about them.

Changes to these terms

These terms are reviewed periodically and may be updated as the site changes. The version published on this page is the one that applies.
